The Office of Community Services is a $5 billion Federal agency within the Administration for Children and Families at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). As Director, Mrs. Robinson provides direction and leadership to nine grant programs that provide State and community-based grant funding and economic development support for low-income neighborhoods.

Prior to her OCS appointment, Mrs. Robinson was Senior Advisor and Chief of Staff to that Assistant Secretary for Health for the Office of Public Health and Science (OPHS) at HHS, where she provided advice on matters of population-based public health and related health and science policy and oversaw the development and implementation of OPHS initiatives and campaigns. She also served concurrently as Acting Executive Director of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS. Mrs. Robinson has also served as an associate director in the White House Office of Public Liaison and Executive Assistance to the White House Chief of Staff, Andrew H. Card, Jr.

Mrs. Robinson is a native of Long Island, New York, and received her Bachelors degree in International Relations and Politics from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.
